Crayon Melted Art

"That Feeling When You're Not Necessarily
Sad, But You Just Feel Really Empty"
So I finally took on the famous tumblr task of the melted crayon art. It honestly is not that hard and is a pretty cheap diy. And I might say so myself, it turned out pretty well for my first attempt. If by chance you haven’t heard of this diy, then follow these simple directions.
  1. First start off by writing a quote or word at the bottom of the canvas. Then either paint it black or use sharpie. (I opted for the sharpie)
  2. Hot glue your crayons to the top of a  canvas in rainbow order. (it may help to take off the wrappers of the crayons, but it’s not necessary)
  3. The traditional way to melt the crayons is to plug in a blowdryer and heat up the crayons until they melt. I however used a lighter to speed up the process. It worked well except for the fact that I burned a small hole in the canvas...but it adds a little bit of character so I don’t mind.

Voila! Hang up your finished masterpiece!
