Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had an ah-may-zing holiday….I know I did. We had my aunts, uncles, and cousins (from my mom’s side) over at our house for Christmas day. It’s been about seven or so years since we’ve hosted Christmas. Normally we will celebrate it at one of my aunts/uncles’ houses, but it was nice for a change of pace. We kept it simple for the food: ham, mashed potatoes, meatballs, rolls, and au gratin potatoes. And of course my aunt gave her signature plate of assorted cookies to every family….which you can bet I’ll devour at least half of them.
Outfit Details
-Red and Black Lace Dress: Rue 21
-Black and Gold Necklace: Hallmark
-Gold Earrings: Lia Sophia

BIG pearl studs were on my Christmas list, so I was ecstatic to open the necklace and earrings set. They’re going to be great when I want to wear more of a statement earring. And I was also really excited to receive Bath and Body Work’s Vanilla Bean Noel lotion, shower gel, and fragrance set. This truly has become my favorite scent. I always get compliments on it whenever I wear it. However, I am running dangerously low on it, so it was perfect timing to receive it! And of course my Christmas would not be complete without my parents throwing in some miscellaneous presents: fuzzy socks, pajama pants, hair elastics, a hair brush and candy.
Finally my grandparents gave me some cash which will be fun to splurge on some clothes. With that being said, I am TRULY grateful not only for the presents but all the opportunities and memories I’ve had this year. I feel as if this year has been different. The past years, I have woken up super early and headed straight to peek in my stocking and check out the presents underneath the tree. However this year, I didn’t even do that. I guess that’s a sign that I’m maturing and appreciating the true meaning of Christmas: family and the religious aspect. Happy Birthday to our Savior!
