"Being Single Means You're Strong Enough To Wait For What You Deserve." - Niall Horan

With this black floppy hat, I feel like I’m Blair Waldorf. (Like can I seriously be her?) In the winter I always seem to get in a fashion rut. I’m always pairing the same plain, black tights with dresses. So I decided to break out my lace leggings. These babies rarely get used (except on Halloween I wore them with my Batman costume). Though they may not be winter appropriate, they get the job done on semi-cold days. In order to not take away from the leggings, I paired a plain black pencil skirt and tucked a frilly, baby pink blouse with it. And to top it off, I accessorize with my much loved houndstooth scarf. I wear this thing way too often!
I thought about making a separate post about this particular topic yesterday, but the only thing that was holding me back was, I didn’t know what to photograph. So instead, I just decided to combine it with this post….
I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve mentioned this, but I’m catholic. I feel extremely guilty because I didn’t attend mass yesterday AND I had meat. It’s kind of hard to not have meat at my school, because on fridays there is only a limited selection of food, and most of it involves meat. So I hate to say it, but I probably won’t be able to participate in that unless I want to practically starve...opps
And with Ash Wednesday being yesterday, I wanted to talk about my Lenten resolution. At first I wasn’t sure what to give up. I thought about the overused television, chocolate, etc….but I thought that was too basic. Then I debated giving up makeup or even straightening my hair. And though those would help with my self confidence, I just don’t see myself sticking to those resolutions. So, I’ve decided to give up nail polish. I absolutely love looking down at a perfect manicure. It really amps up your outfit. Though, it honestly isn’t the healthiest thing to do. So, that’s why I decided to give it up for Lent. Maybe by the end of Lent, I won’t even miss nail polish.
