"As I Look Back On My Life, I Realize That Every Time I Though I Was Being Rejected
From Something Good, I Was Actually Being Re-Directed To Something Better"

Last week I took a vacation/business trip to New York City and I am so excited to share with you the adventures I went on.
Day 1
You would think that having a morning flight to NYC would allow me time to explore the city a little bit in the evening, but sadly that was not the case. When we landed, my family and I headed to the rental car place. And let me tell you, that took FOREVER! I swear we spent at least an hour there. FINALLY, we received our car, and we were off to our destination: our hotel. However, we were not on the road for more than five minutes, when my dad started cursing: he was lost! And when my dad is upset, you don’t say ONE word. After taking the long route to our hotel, we finally arrived. The hotel was better than the one we stayed at the previous year, but still was not anything to brag about. Then our growling stomachs told us it was time for dinner. So we drove off to this cute outdoor mall. It had some restaurants, hotels, and even a movie theater. Of course, we went with our favorite pick: Subway. While eating my signature spicy Italian sub, the mall security guard starting talking to us. He told us about his family and how he served in the war. He truly is a selfless and friendly person. And it was at the moment that I realized people’s view about city- goers being rude are based on misconceptions. I was not even in the city 12 hours, and I already had a friendly encounter.
After dinner, we headed back to the hotel to relax I painted my nails a nude/pink (which did not turn out the greatest. The formula  was really goopy, but I must say it held up pretty good for a week with minor chips). And then I closed my eyes and tried to wind down, knowing that tomorrow would be a big day for my business interview.
