Fashion Diary: The Story Behind My Shoes #4

"Always Believe That Something Wonderful Will Happen"
These are my first official pair of heels I purchased with my own money. I was in 8th grade and was in need of a pair of heels for my 8th graduation school portraits...now that I think about it, it wasn't necessary...the shoes didn't even show in the pictures :( But I insisted on buying a pair. Back then, I was obsessed with the strappy sandal kind of look. So when I saw these at Sear's, I knew they were coming home with me. But then I spotted a similar pair, but they had a cute black flower on the side. I couldn't decide between the two so I asked my mom's opinion. Her advice was to purchase the flower ones because from previous experience she thought the crisscross detailing would be uncomfortable. I personally didn't find that to be true. So again, I stood there in the isle looking back and forth at both pairs of heels, not knowing what to do...this seems to be a common theme when I go shopping. Even to this day I'm the worst at making decisions when it comes to making purchasing.

Finally, I ended up purchasing these ones for one stupid reason...the heel look higher. Which is stupid because in reality they were probably the same height. But when I wore these babies to school the day of pictures, I felt like hot-stuff!

It kind of makes me sad that I don't get much use out of them. They're a classy shoe with a hint of sexiness. But for some reason I find myself gravitating towards more stilettos.I guess in my mindset, they're sexier. But I'm going to make it my goal to wear these more often.
