The Reality Of Blog Photography
Wednesday, June 15, 2016I saw this idea on Kallie's blog . I thought it was the cutest thing and had to do something similar. As a viewer, you may not realize the struggles that bloggers go through in terms of photography. Our photos are never "picture perfect". These are some of the most frustrating occurrences.....
1. THE WIND
For those who have long hair, you know the struggle of having hair blowing in your face or worst of all, having your skirt blown up. If only the weather was perfect for when we decided to shoot!
2. THE STRUGGLE OF USING A TRIPOD
Half the time, you end up cutting yourself off or you're not even in focus. Also, if you're like me, you're constantly misplacing the remote......
3. AWKWARD POSES
It's always those poses in my head that I think will turn out so cute, actually turn out awkward. Little details like the neck leaning back to far, or the wrong angle make a huge difference.
4. AWKWARD FACES
It's embarrassing reviewing your photos and you realize your face is not as sexy as you thought. In fact it looks you're constipated. Or you realized you weren't ready for the camera and ended up blinking in every photo!
5. TAKING MANY PHOTOS: No matter what you're shooting, it's crucial to take probably 5 different shots of the same pose at the same angle. Then slightly adjusting the angle/pose. When people then review your photos, they're confused why "they look the same". They don't understand that the slight detail make the difference.
6. HATING ALL YOUR PHOTOS: There's nothing worse than working hard on your photos and you end up hating them all. There might be shadows, over exposure, the wrong angle, etc. Either way, you're upset and frustrated. You end up either redoing them, scraping them completely, or posting photos you're not happy with.
7. OUT OF FOCUS
I can't tell you how many times my favorite shots end up being out of focus. Sometimes it's the whole photo. Other times it ends up being the subject is out of focus. Either way it's incredibly frustrating because no matter how much experience you have with editing photos, there's no way to may a photo appear more in focus.
8. TOO DARK
This could be caused because you shot at the wrong angle in regards to the direction of the sun or your camera was not set up properly. Either way it sucks! Sometimes it can be fixed by bumping up the exposure. Be careful though because sometimes your picture will start looking fuzzy.
9. OVER EXPOSED
This goes along with the previous point. This can be a setting's issue or a problem resulting from the sun. This problem however is not easily fixed. So you're left with much regret when this happens.
10. HARSH SHADOWS
I cringe every time this happens. You take the time to look all beautiful by making your hair and makeup flawless....and then this happens! This is one of the most unattractive things!
11. PHOTO-BOMBERS
These can be so distracting and totally ruin the look of your photo...especially if they're wearing a neon swimsuit. And worst of all, they're always giving your weird looks for posing with a camera. I didn't think it was that unusual... but I guess it is to them.

There's nothing wrong with that! I respect people that don't feel the need to follow everybody else
