It's almost Friday and I could not be more happy. I am in need of a break from this hectic week. I feel as if I haven't had time to unwind or time to myself with all of these college papers/projects due and applying for internships. But in a way I wouldn't have it any other way....who honestly would rather be bored watching the clock slowly change to the next minute!?....not me!
Anyways, this is going to be one of four looks I'll be sharing with you guys from Sammy Dress. If you're in the market for cheap, trendy clothes, this is your one stop shop! Their merchandise consists of anything from tops, to outerwear, to shoes, to purses. They even have men's wear.
For the longest time I've been looking for either a skirt or dress with this asymmetrical cut on the hem. I think it's incredibly flattering and adds such a sexy touch. Unfortunately, every skort, skirt, or dress that I tried on with this trend, did not fit me. They some reason always seemed to be too big. So I was super happy when I found this striped dress that fits. Best of all, it's under $10.... SAY WHAT!?!? Definitely check out Sammydress's blog as well as twitter for more affordable fashion inspiration.
The material is different that most dresses. It has sort of an athletic feel to it. Because of that, it is extremely comfortable and almost feels as if you're wearing pajamas....it's the best of both worlds! The fit not as a tight as a body con; I would compare it more to "t-shirt dress". And the length is not too short where you feel like you're going to flash the world every time you bend over. It is a little bit longer than most dresses I own, but I'm not complaining. I would say you could even wear this dress to work for casual Friday. I will say though, it is a bit see-through. So I suggest wearing nude undergarments maybe even a slip. That's what I ended up doing.
Don't mind my chipped nail polish. I still have yet to do them since August; I know...gross!
Military jackets with stripes is one of my favorite styles for fall, which is why I decided to pair one with this dress. And of course, I had to bring out my good old statement necklace. It adds nice proportions to the outfit since the stripes can be overwhelming. When it gets a little bit more chilly, throw on a scarf, some booties, and you'll be ready to go!
