Show-stopping Pieces For The Holiday Season

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

I'm back at the blogging game! Sorry for the absence. I needed to focus on finals last week. Then over weekend I stayed at my boyfriend's parent's house. I wanted to focus just on us since I won't see him much over college winter break. We tried to do as much holiday festivities as possible. We did our holiday gift exchange (he got me the cutest necklace and a robe....I'm sure you'll see a post about them soon). We even got messy in the kitchen and did some baking. And of  course we had to have a lazy day of watching a Christmas movie. Anyways, I wanted to share with you guys some of my fashion and accessory picks for this holiday season. These are pieces that are sure to bring a "WOW" factor to your outfit. Who doesn't want to shine this season!? Hope you enjoy!

Velvet has always been a fabric that reminds me of winter. And I love that it's so big this year. There's just something so rich and luxurious about it. I love the sexy scoop back on this red velvet dress. Plus you know your butt is going to look fabulous in it!

Any season, black and white prints are my favorite, but especially during the winter time. Its such a classic look. You can rock this gingham jacket as outerwear, or if you're live in the colder climate, it would be perfect as a sweater. Just throw on some black bottoms, and you're all set.

Floppy hats make ANY outfit 10x more cute and fashionable. It adds an instant umph. Plus, they're super trendy right now. This coffee floppy hat also comes in a red shade...perfect for the holiday season. Best of all, it's only $8.99....you heard me right!
It isn't the holidays without a red, bold lip. Shirly Audacious Nars is one of my favorites. It's not too bright or dark. It's perfect to pair with winged eyeliner or glitter eye shadow
If dresses and skirts aren't your thing, then a big comfy sweater is the way to go. Not only will you be warm, but you'll be festive. I love the fact that this sweater can be worn off the shoulder. It adds a subtle sex appeal instead of aging yourself in an overpowering sweater.
If you've been keeping up with my fashion posts, you know that I'm obsessed with scarves, especially blanket scarves, What I love about this plaid scarf, is that it has that Christmas festive look, but is not over powering. You can definitely rock it after the holiday. I've seen people rock blanket scarves as a traditional scarf or wearing it as a cape/poncho
To me, this is the perfect holiday palette. I love to rock shimmery shadows for Christmas festivities. You can create a natural look or a dramatic with this Natural Eye Neutral Eyeshadow palette by Two Faced.

Over-the-knee boots have been a trend this past year. And I can see why....they're incredibly warm. They keep the warmth trapped in your legs, but are also fashionable. I find that the ones that lace up in the back help keep the boot stay nice and tight around your thighs. These heeled otk boots come in both suede and velvet...plus there's 5 different colors, so you're sure to find a pair that you love!
