Valentine's Day Inspiration

Tuesday, January 31, 2017

Can I just say, how much I love this boy!? My boyfriend went ice skating earlier in the day and then he even agreed to take photos all so we could have "winter" photos together. Side note, I wanted the typical flannel shirt look with the snow, however the snow was all melted. Anyways,  little did I know how sick he was the day we took these photos. His throat was throbbing with pain yet he still took his jacket off and posed with me. He's such a keeper! So, I thought it would be perfect to share with you guys a simple outfit for Valentine's Day since it's coming up quite soon. Also, if you're looking for makeup inspiration, check out Love Yesi's blog; she has an awesome pinky-hued tutorial up on her blog.
While I love dressing up in a flirty dress and heels, I wanted to share with you guys just a simple look because not all of us are going to have that bachelor dinner date on top of a skyscraper.
So for my outfit, I wore this beautiful, burgundy blouse. I think the cold shoulder detailing is such a universally flattering style for anyone. Plus, I think it's incredibly sexy. Besides the color, my favorite part of this blouse is the gold detailing. It adds something a little extra. Like I said, the color is just beautiful. I love wearing either reds, burgundys, or rosy hues for this holiday. It's just makes you feel more "festive". For the rest of my outfit I kept it quite simple. I wore skinny jeans and booties, something simple that everyone probably owns. And for accessories, I thought it was approriate to wear the pendent my boyfriend got me for Christmas.
And I thought it would interesting to include my boyfriends outfit as well. I absolutely love this Henley of his. He prefers to dress for comfort, so this is the perfect combination of "fancy" and comfort. Like, me he opted for jeans. Finally, he wore his Adidas sneakers I got him for Christmas. What are y'alls plans for Valentine's Day?
