The Final Stretch

First off, I binged on fashion shoots, so expect some cute outfit posts coming real soon! I cannot wait for y'all to see them. Second off, how is it almost October already!? I swear this month is just flying by. Part of it has to do with the fact that college started this month. It's not just any year in college though, it's my senior year. Yep....that means I graduate in May. Just like for many, it's exciting yet sad at the same time. While this post is a little bit late, I still wanted to get it up. Sophomore & Junior year I made a "letter" to myself prior to the start of the year. Then at the end of the year, I read it and analyzed how accurate my goals were. It's honestly more of a memory for myself, but if you want to get a little bit more personal with me, you can read it too! So let's get into it......!

Dear Future Self,

Pinch me, I'm dreaming! You did it!.....you graduated from college. Ummm....what!? You're officially done with school....for good. No more waking up for 8 am classes, instead you're going to be waking up for 8 am in the office. Welcome to adulthood. No more winter breaks or random days off like "Advisement Day". Put on your big girl heels and stop complaining lol. I hope that you landed a job for after graduation (sooner than later)  so you're not stressing out. Most importantly though, I hope you and your boyfriend find jobs in close proximity. I know how badly you want this relationship to continue and not end because of some stupid reason of not finding jobs near each other.

This was your  last year to have a carefree, wild life. So I hope you made it count. You better have  spent as much time with people as you can.

Remember that $10 planner you bought, I hope you put it to good use and not let it get dusty on your shelf. I hope you wrote down all your future assignments, and crossed them off when they were completed. And you better have planned  future blog posts so you could stay organize.

Finally, I hope you were smart with your money. You're going to be moving out of your parents out and will need every penny for investments. I know how easily you can get tempted by clothing, makeup, and especially shoes, but you better have had more self control.

Cheers to the start of real adulthood!

  1. Love the idea of writing letters to yourself! Can't believe you are almost done with undergrad! You have so many exciting things ahead though and I can't wait to follow along!
