Berry Mistletoe

Does anyone else feel like this holiday season is flying by? I mean it's only December 5th, but I feel like it's going to go by real fast these next few weeks. That's one thing that I hate about the holidays: is when it's all over. It's what do I do!? It's no longer acceptable to play Christmas music, dress in red plaid, or eat anything peppermint. Plus, all the decorations have to be put away, and it just doesn't have that "joy" and "twinkle of the season feeling". Maybe I'm the only one overreacting though. This past weekend really did put me in the holiday spirit. My boyfriend and I went to this local lighting event. There's this bridge in the park that they lighted with gigantic rainbow rotary lights. It was beautiful! There was even free hot chocolate and horse & buggy rides. It was so crowded though, that we did not participate in it. We did however get to the see the fireworks. I've never really seen fireworks in the winter time, so that was pretty neat!
This weekend, we plan on seeing the rotary lights at this park. It's ten times bigger than the one we went to last weekend. We've gone there every year since we've dated. This time I hope there's snow!
I'm telling you, this red sweater is definitely a must have for this season. Not only is it the perfect shade of red, but it's incredibly cozy! I can just imagine myself cuddling up next to the fireplace in it!
I love the fact that this cable knit  is oversize. It looks adorable being off the shoulder and having a bralette peak through! It's now my go to look for the season.
My winter style has definitely changed. In high school, I was all about the tight, fitted sweaters with the V-neck. The last few years, I've been into button down flannels. And now I'm all about that sweater and bralette combination! It's definitely more on the sexier side, but I'm okay with that!
I'm sort of switching styles with boots now too. It went from riding boots, to combat boots, to booties. Now I'm slowly transitioning back into the taller boots. I love my black otk boots from Target, and today I purchased a pair of brown riding boots from Goodwill. I've owned a similar pair in the past but they never fitted right. There were an awkward length and always slipped down. The ones that I got today fit like a glove. Now all I need are some boot socks to peak out.
I was never a fan of boot socks because they reminded me of knee highs that I wore with my school uniform. Then I realized for us short ladies, they are a game changer. They make us look somewhat taller by adding an extra dimension. So maybe for my birthday or Christmas I'll ask for some.
For this sweater look though, I paired just a simple black lace up booties. I swear these are the most comfortable shoes! I wore them on Black Friday, and let me tell you my feet did't bother me once!
