My Summertime Favorties

Monday, July 02, 2018

Okay...How did the 4th sneak up on us so fast!? Is anyone else surprised it's this Wednesday? Summer honestly needs to slow down. The first part of summer has consisted of getting settled into my apartment and starting my internship. Everything seems to be calming down though, so now I can say that I can finally enjoy summer. Only one month late right!? This past weekend I went to my boyfriend's college graduation party at his parent's house. It was just a chill night of brats, spiked lemonade, and hitting some golf balls in the yard. (Let's just say buzzed guys don't have good aim lol). There's nothing like a cookout during the summer time though. I will say though that I would have enjoyed the day a whole lot better if I wasn't sweating my a*s off in 101 degrees. Anyone else hate  weather that's over 80 degrees? Good news was that Sunday cooled off, and we spent the afternoon kayaking at the lake (another one of my favorites for the summer!) Speaking of favorites for the summer, I wanted to share with all you ladies some of my current beauty favorites. These are products that are new to me, but have quickly become some of my new favorites:

1. Unshakeable Eyeliner: Even in the summer, I still can't go without my winged eyeliner (unless I'm going swimming). This eyeliner goes on jetblack, which is just the way that I like it. It goes great with a shimmery neutral eye! In my opinion, it's just as good as the Kat Von D Tattoo eyeliner, and that's saying a lot because I love it!

2. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation: I have moved away from my beloved Covergirl 3-in-1 Foundation. Not gonna lie, my bank account is sad whenever I purchase it because $40 dollars compared to $10, is kind of a big difference. Though, I will say that it matches my skin a lot better and looks more natural. It's got the perfect amount of glow. I do suggest a setting powder though if you're wanting to wear it all day like me.

3. Mario Badescu Rosewater Spray:  I have heard nothing but good things about this spray from YouTube-rs. They all say it's great for someone with acne. I must say, I love it! It leaves my skin looking nice and bright. I recently have stopped using it though because I'm not sure if it has been breaking my skin out. It's either that, eating too much chocolate, stress, failure to take off makeup, or dirty brushes. I'm trying it again tonight and will keep you updated if it was indeed the spray.

4. Rimmel London Natural Bronzer: Back in high school and even my early years of college (gosh I feel old saying that), I used to contour like crazy. I would do my checkbones, my temples, nose and neck. Now, I didn't say I was good lol. Probably my sophomore or junior year of college I stopped due to my thinking it contributed to my acne. I recently got back into it, but just on my temples. It gives my complexion a nice glow! It looks super natural, like I just got back from the beach.

5. Jergens Sunless Tanning Mousse I tried this for the first time a couple of days before my graduation ( I know...risky), and it turned out beautiful. So many people asked me what my secret was. It definitely does not look orange, though make sure to not miss any areas, because this stuff is powerful lol. I wasn't as careful around my ankles, and you could tell a difference. I used latex gloves to apply the product, and it turned out great. I would highly recommend if you're looking for an over-night instant glow. So beautiful!

Hope you ladies enjoyed my picks. If you have tried any of the products listed above, let me know! I'm curious your thoughts.
