In case you were wondering what I wore during 4th of July week, this is it! I'm only more than a month late on posting. Opps! My past few posts have me been apologizing for not being active enough on my blog. Truth is, there is just not enough time in the day. Right now I should be tackling the pile of dishes or doing a load of laundry that just continues to grow higher and higher. Sometimes you just gotta make time for things that make you happy. That's the biggest lesson I've learned since graduating college....that, and you'll always have an endless to do list. I've put a lot of effort into my Instagram. I would love if you went and followed me. I've kind of just got out of the habit of blogging. I'm not making the excuse anymore though.

Anywho, let's get into what I did on the 4th of July... if you even still care. I was lucky enough to have the day off, like most Americans. My boyfriend and I made plans to go to a waterfall. On the way there, it started downpouring. It was just our luck! So we decided to turn around and head to bed bath and beyond instead. We had a giftcard to spend, so we decided we should get something for our Apartment. We were in the market for a dehumidifier since our apartment is soooo muggy. Turns out BBB doesn't sell them instore (at lead not the one we went to), and plus they were much too expensive. (Since then we've purchased a cheap one on Amazon, and it seems to be doing an okay job).

We then headed back to our apartment, and I honestly don't know what we did until nighttime (clearly it was a long time ago). For the evening, we went out to watch fireworks in our new town. We intended to sit by the water and watch them. Turns out, we got lost in our own town lol. So we settled to watch the fireworks on this big hill, with practically the entire town. As a kid, I always watched the fireworks from inside my house. So it was pretty special watching them with my babe. If I'm being honest, I didn't wear this outfit for the 4th of July. Instead, I wore a comfy tank and shorts. I did want to share my outfit with y'all though, because I'm actually obsessed with it. If you're familiar with Tess Christine, I pulled inspiration from her. I absolutely love her effortless, vintage vibe. I've always been a fan of high waisted jeans, but never thought I looked that great in them. I fell in love with these from American Eagle though. Since then, I can't imagine myself going back to low waisted. And can we talk about how cute this off the shoulder top is! I kind of got out of the groove of wearing crop tops. Now that I'm into high waisted jeans, though, I absolutely love the combination.
