Weekend Wedding

Monday, November 12, 2018

How is it already November 12th? I swear this month is just flying by. Thanksgiving definitely has snuck up on me. Not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to the time off....and of course the pumpkin pie! Today's post is going to be a little short one. I went to a wedding two weekends ago, and just wanted to share a few pictures from it. The wedding took place at the end of October, which by the way, October weddings have become my new favorite. I love all the rustic décor, but most importantly, I love that I'm not sweating my little tosh off. The wedding that I attended, had those rustic accents that I was talking about. The centerpiecese had vases rested on wood blocks, and the wedding program was printed on a background that resembled wood (I wish I would have taken pictures). The floral arrangements were made of fake flowers and were arranged in spray painted mason jars. We were allowed to take some home, so I'm going to bring mine for the desk in my office. It's going to look so cute!
The reception location was honestly my dream! There were giant chandeliers  everywhere! It was unbelievably glamorous. The chairs had those big taffeta bows on the back...which again, is right up my alley! I'm normally not a soup fan, but this cream of broccoli soup was phenamomonal. Maybe that's because this was a sh*t ton of salt. Either way it was two thumbs up from me! For dessert we not only had a cake, but also this gelato dish. My sweet tooth was majorly happy!

My only complaint about the wedding was there were no slow songs. This seemed to be the case for the last few weddings that I've attended. I went to school dances in high school but never actually had a date....no shame. So I never experienced that fairytale, gazing into each other eyes, dreamy kind of love. So once I started dating my boyfriend, I was excited to finally have someone to dance with at weddings. Only out of  2 of the 5 weddings we've gone to together, were we able to have that "special connection". The first wedding we attended together, I remember dancing to I don't dance by Lee Bryce. Then two years ago, we had the dance floor to ourselves as Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran played. Like I said, I was excited to have that "special moment" again, but nope....all that was played were classic rock songs. Big bummer! Other than that though, the wedding was an "A" from me!
