Special Memories

Before I get into the core of this blog post I wanted to give you all a give little life update. First off, thank you for all your sweet comments on my Junior Year Follow Up.  I can't tell you how much it means to me that you all are saying  you will keep me in your thoughts and wishing that everything works out for me. I have the best fans/followers! I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but mid May I started working a regular retail job to earn a little bit of income in case none of the internships worked out. I recently quit that job for a few reasons, but one of them was just I didn't agree with how they treated their employees. I'm not saying that they were absolutely horrible, but I guess I was "spoiled" by the treatment I was given by working at Bed Bath and Beyond. I figured for the amount of money I was working there, it wasn't worth my time to be unhappy. I hope you all take that advice into consideration whether it be for your job, your major, your relationships, etc. Anyways, I have somewhat of a lead  on an internship that I am crossing my fingers that it works out. You guys, I want this position sooooo badly! Wish me luck it pulls through. Now onto the reason I'm posting this!
When I was younger, I absolutely hated pictures. Maybe it's because I wasn't confident in the way I looked. Or maybe it was because I wanted to be a spoiled brat and "fight" with my mom. Who knows! Now I have a blog, go figure! Within roughly the past two years, I've accumulated quite a few pictures of my boyfriend and I.  I'll be honest the reason I take so many pictures of us is because I want a new profile picture or some blog content. I do enjoy having the memory though. It's funny because my boyfriend's family calls them "engagement photos". I could see where they are coming from. I'm not satisfied with the basic "snapshot". I want that tumblr looking photo lol.
Ultimately, I'm glad I've taken so many photos of us together. I love looking back at all of our memories. I've stored pretty much all of our photos either on my computer or social media. I really haven't printed any of our photos up until recently. I loved the idea of a retro looking photo with a caption, so I printed up these square photos from Printiki and I have to say I'm in love with them! (My mom is mad I didn't print any up for her. She's been wanting to steal a couple for herself). Like I said, I love the retro look to them since they kind of remind me of a Polaroid print. I added a caption to all 30 of the prints. The majority of them, I added the city and state we took the photo add. I thought it adds such a cute personal touch and a great memory. I chose to print my photos in a matte finish, but you can do glossy as well. Regular price, these prints come up to be about $0.40  per print, which is totally reasonable for such cute, trendy photos like these. You can even get free shipping if you use the code 5MD45WYK. So start printing your photos from Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, your camera, etc.
What I did with all my prints is, I bought a cute little mini sized square album and organized them from oldest to most recent. It honestly turned out so cute! I'm going to need to purchase more plastic sleeves because I've already filled up the album. We're attending a wedding this year, so I'm excited to take pictures there and add them to the album. I'm tempted to buy twine and clothes pin to hang  them up in my dorm room. It would also make a cute wedding decoration! Ugh, can't wait until that day eventually comes.
